Join us Sunday mornings at 8:30 in the Parlor to interact with the Gospel text of the season in an experience of Lectio Divina.
Lectio Divina is most often translated “sacred reading” and has been a contemplative practice of the church for centuries. The practice helps to slow down our busy mind so that we might hear—what we otherwise may miss in a text. Lectio can be done by a simple reading of Scripture, by listening to a piece of music, in a thoughtful poem or other sacred work.
Here’s a look at the texts we will be exploring:
NOV 26th John Chapter 1
DEC 3rd Mark Chapter 1:1-8
DEC 10th Luke Chapter 1
DEC 17th Matthew 1:18-2:15
