I didn’t feel very affected with the onset of the Covid Pandemic until I could no longer attend worship services at Pine Shores.  Attending church every week is something I done most of my life and it often allows me to “recharge my personal battery.”  Joining is singing hymns, comforted with prayers and a message to help me be a better person. All those meaningful pleasures came to a screeching stop. I was forced to sit and watch a worship service on my computer screen.
As the shut-down continued turned to my bible for readings to help me understand what was happening to all of us. Reading the many scriptures of how God and Jesus will always be with me helped, and over some time I read and was reminded God has promised to be with us, to walk with us through life’s pressures and to give us the help we need at just the right time. We do not have to fear what lies ahead because Jesus said even though we would experience pressure from this world system and the attacks of the enemy we could be of good cheer because He had overcome those things for us. We have peace and strength in Him even in the midst of the storms of life. I find that so true. I can’t see or him either of them, but I sure they stand with me.

Scripture Reading Hebrews 13:5b, 6
…. For God himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So, we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

Reflection Questions:
How do you recharge your battery?
What are your “go to” scripture readings?
What causes you to feel forsaken?

Prayer: Lord God, thank for your comforting hand and help me to always remember you are with me in the darkest hours of my day. Amen
