The Council continued their Appreciative Inquiry conversation by exploring the following questions:
- When was Pine Shores the biggest blessing in your life?
- What uniqueness would you like Pine Shores to carry forward over the next 5 years?
- If Jesus came and visited Pine Shores in 5 years, what would he be most pleased about?
An Elder shared that Pine Shores has been a blessing to her in so many ways. When she joined Pine Shores from another local church, she was looking to find a home, which she did. Pine Shores has helped her grow and overcome some challenges, such as public speaking and helped her to “look beyond” and realize her own capabilities. She said the Pastors have been a great blessing with their encouragement. This Elder is proud of what the church has accomplished and knows Jesus would feel the same way and hopes Pine Shores will continue forward in this positive manner.
Scripture Reading: 1 Corinthians 3:16
“Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?”
Who are you encouraging?
What constitutes a “church home?”
How is God dwelling in your midst?
Prayer: Holy God, let your Spirit dwell in me, guiding me to remain steadfast in doing the word, and in living with a deeper sense of faithfulness in these days ahead. Let my faithfulness point toward your will and ways. Amen.
