It’s Friday – enjoy.  An old Florida farmer built a large pond surrounded by picnic tables, horseshoe and basketball courts.  The pond was ideal for swimming but rarely got used. One evening, the farmer decided to stroll down to the pond because he hadn’t been there for a while. As he neared the water, he heard shouting and laughing.  He gasped to see a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond. Seeing him, they scrambled to the deep end of the pond. “We’re not coming out until you leave!” shouted one of the young women. The farmer replied “I did not come down here to watch you ladies swim or to make you get out of the pond. I’m here to feed the alligator.”

Scripture Reading: Job 12:7-10
“But ask the animals, and they will teach you; the birds of the air, and they will tell you… ask the plants of the earth, and they will teach you; and the fish of the sea will declare to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of every human being.”

Reflection Questions:
Where do you see God’s hand at work?
How does God breathe life into you?
How are you caring for creation?

Prayer: Holy God, hear my thankfulness for the blessing of this amazing creation and stir within my being a desire to nurture and love the world that tells to your majesty. Amen
