Adult Ministries

At the root of the word disciple is the notion of learner. Ours is a faith that prompts questions, sets inquiry in motion, and calls us to examine our assumptions about God, ourselves, and the world. We value education because it leads us to learn about the world and how it functions. We value education because it shows us our God-given talents in order to fulfill the vocation to which we have been called. Education transforms; it changes us.

Sunday School: we offer Adult Education most Sundays following the worship service.
There are other opportunities to gather for book studies, Bible studies, meditation, and faith exploration at various times throughout the week.

Pastoral Care at Pine Shores

Our pastor and the pastoral care team will visit those in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, and those who are homebound.

The Monarchs and Butterflies are groups of caring men and women of the church who are paired with members who no longer can be an active part of the church family. They visit them on a weekly and/or monthly basis and during special occasions, holidays, and birthdays.

Youth Ministry

We understand the pressure and stress under which so many parents and their families are functioning. We offer a nurturing and safe environment for children and youth through programs tailored to their unique spiritual needs. Through engaging activities, age-appropriate teaching, and caring mentors, we aim to support children and families on their faith journeys, while also supporting you on your everyday journey.

JOY COMPANY is a weekly after-school children’s program where playfulness has meaning. Children will have opportunities to make new friends, use their imagination, be creative, explore new experiences, and try new skills. Each week there will be time for play, storytelling, music, crafts, and games. All children 4 years through 5th grade are welcome to attend every Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Questions: Contact Debby Wendell at debby@pineshorespres.org or the church office at 941-922-1597.

PSY - Pine Shores Youth is a ministry for students in 6th-12th grade.

Youth Group meets every Sunday evening at our Youth House from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. for a time of dinner, bible study, games, and hanging out with friends and youth leaders. All are always welcome here!
