Welcome to Children’s Church and Bible Stories at Pine Shores!
At Pine Shores we believe that it is important for people of all ages to be able to celebrate their love for God. While we seek to include even our youngest children in the worship experience, we also understand that some parts are difficult for them to understand and appreciate. Children’s Church and Bible Stories supplements worship in the sanctuary with age-appropriate stories and activities designed for our little ones. After the Moment with Children in the Sanctuary, the kids are dismissed to the nursery (infants through Pre-K), Children’s Church (K-5th) or they can remain with their parents in the Sanctuary. On Communion Sundays (the first Sunday of each month) there is no Children’s Church and Bible Stories so everyone may participate in Communion together.
Whenever possible the Children’s Church and Bible Stories curriculum is written to follow the theme presented in the Sanctuary. In a 5 year plan, we try to cover all the basic stories in the Bible. Along with a biblical story, there is a contemporary story that ties the lesson to the child’s everyday life. Activities such as crafts, games, experiments, etc., are designed to reinforce the theme of the day.
Pine Shores will not hold Children’s Church over the summer of 2021, but it should resume in the Fall of 2021.
